ACF Acting Assistant Secretary Mark Greenberg Testifies before Congress on Unaccompanied Chilldren

Recently, ACF Acting Assistant Secretary Mark Greenberg testified before Congress to discuss the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) responsibilities related to unaccompanied children. He explained the steps we take to care for unaccompanied children once they are referred to our custody, our responsibilities to identify appropriate sponsors with which children can live while awaiting immigration removal proceedings, and the challenges we face as a result of the increased numbers of unaccompanied children.
