What is Technical Assistance?

The Office of Human Services Emergency Preparedness and Response (OHSEPR) shares goals that are aligned with the Department and that are essential steps towards success in human services preparedness. As such, Technical Assitance is coordinated idea to develop robust plans, signed off by Operating and Staff Divisions that is fully integrated into our current and emerging role in ESF-6. OHSEPR is also collaborating with members of the Human Services Team to develop the followings:

• HHS Human Services Concept of Operations Plan
• Technical Assistance Manual that is inclusive of all HHS Human Services Programs
• Establish a comprehensive model for Human Services disaster planning applicable to all programs
• Create a clear and concise human services checklist for successfull disaster planning
• Human Services playbooks for the 15 disaster scenarios
