ANA Webinar: Native American Water Rights and Water Resources

April 24, 2014

Native American water rights and the ability to preserve water quality and protect aquatic life and species are essential issues to many Indian nations and Native communities. Native American water resources provide our communities with a means to develop, both culturally and economically. The symbolic and spiritual significance of water adds to the importance of this resource.  This webinar will provide information on the legal foundations for Native water right claims, alternative methods for determining and defining water rights, tribal efforts to improve water quality, and tribal work to preserve aquatic species and promote habitat restoration. Hosted by the ANA Western Region Training and Technical Assistance Center.  Click to Register.
