Notes: Following the 2001 reviews, ACF made the changes noted above to the onsite review indicators that make comparison of findings across 2001 and 2002 impossible in some areas. The changes are:

A change in the onsite review definitions of recurrence of maltreatment and foster care re-entries to correspond more closely to the definition of the statewide data indicators for recurrence of maltreatment and foster care re-entries.

The addition of a specific item to evaluate the timely achievement of reunification, guardianship, or permanent relative placement. This replaced the independent living indicator which was previously treated as an outcome, rather than as a set of services.

Changes in Rating Criteria from 2001 to 2002

Foster Care Re-Entries: Changed definition to correspond to data indicator

Recurrence of Maltreatment: Changed definition to correspond to data indicator

Achieving Reunification, Guardianship, or Permanent Relative Placement: Added an indicator to onsite review of cases

Independent Living: Incorporated into other items
