This table organizes the Investigations during the years 1996-2000 into the type of Investigation according to NCANDS titles. The table lists each year once under the title of "Percent" and again under "Total Number of Investigations." The column names are each one of the NCANDS titles under which the percentages and numbers of investigations fall. The titles are as follows: Substantiated, Indicated, Alternative Response-Victim, Alternative Response-Nonvictim, Unsubstantiated, In Need of Services, Closed with No Finding, Other, Unknown, Total Percent/Number, and Number of States Reporting.
