Data from 1996-1999 are based on the SDC only.
This tables looks at the time period from 1996 through 2000 to analyze the breakdown of children's ages during these years. The top part of the chart, labeled "Percent," lists each year in the first column and the following five columns each list one of the following age groups: 0-3, 4-7, 8-11, 12-15, 16+. In each column, the percentage of child victims who fell into that age group during the named year is listed. The last columns list, first, the total percentage/number and then the number of States reporting. Below this portion of the chart is a similar one that, instead, lists the number of victims that fell into each age group during each named year. The years are again listed in the first column, and the rest of the columns are identical to the previously listed.
