Figure 3-3 Victimization Rates by Maltreatment Type, 1997-2001

In this graph, the types of maltreatment —Physical Abuse, Neglect, Medical Neglect, Sexual Abuse, Psychological Treatment, and Other Abuse —are depicted by a shaded bar that indicates the rate per 1,000 child victims for each year from 1997 through 2001. Neglect has the highest rate per 1,000 child victims for each year.
