This bar graph breaks down the fatality victims by type of maltreatment. Each bar represents a type of maltreatment in the following order: Neglect Only, Physical Abuse Only, Physical Abuse and Neglect, Unknown, Physical Abuse and Any Maltreatment Type, Neglect and Any Maltreatment Type, Any Except Physical Abuse or Neglect. Almost all fatalities were associated with physical abuse or neglect.
