Victimization Rates by Maltreatment Type, 2000-2004

In this graph, the types of maltreatment—physical abuse, neglect, medical neglect, sexual abuse, psychological treatment, and other abuse—are depicted by a shaded bar that indicates the rate per 1,000 child victims for each year from 2000 through 2004. Neglect has the highest rate per 1,000 child victims for each year.
