Screened-In and Screened-Out Referrals, 2004

This table indicates the numbers and percentages of referrals that were screened in and screened out during the year 2004. The first column lists the name of each State and the second indicates the child population for the corresponding State. The third column lists the number of screened-in referrals followed by a listing of the percentage of these screened-in referrals. The fifth and sixth columns, similarly, indicate the numbers and rates of screened-out referrals. The seventh column adds the number of screened-in and screened-out referrals for a column with the total number of referrals for each State. The last column lists the total rate of referrals for each State. The total number of referrals for all of the States was an estimated 3,000,000 with a rate of 42.6 of the total child population.
