Child Fatality Rates per 100,000 Children, 2000-2004
This table depicts the rate of child fatalities per 100,000 children for the years 2000 through 2004. The first column lists the year; the second column lists the number of child fatalities. The third column lists the rate of fatalities per 100,000 and the next column displays the number of States that reported this data. The last three columns list the total child population for all reporting States, then the child population for all 51 States, and the last column lists the number of estimated child fatalities. The rate of fatalities per 100,000 has increased from 1.84 in 2000 to 2.03 in 2004.
