Comments on Specific Items
Item 3: "Other" includes reports from the Child Abuse Hotline and "missing."

Item 14:The Department of Human Services does not receive reports of all child fatalities because some of them are reported directly to law enforcement for investigation and criminal prosecution.

Item 15: A perpetrator is counted once, although multiple victims may be involved. "Parents" probably includes foster parents because of county staff recording conventions. "Unknown" includes "abuse perpetrated by children," "relationships that are not recorded," and "child victims identified as self-abusers."
