OCSE Network and CSENet 2000 - Defense Finance & Accounting Service

DFAS Batch Processing Network

The State CSE System sends files containing wage-withholding order transactions to the OCSE Server.

The OCSE Server forwards files to the DFAS Server, archives DFAS Kids 1st Acknowledgements and Interface logs for 5 days, and returns acknowledgement files to the states from DFAS.

The DFAS Server edits transaction files, forwards files to the Kids 1st server, and the acknowledgment file is picked up by the OCSE server and sent to the state.

The DFAS Kids 1st Server processes wage-withholding orders, generates acknowledgment files and returns them to the DFAS server, stores orders on the server, and forwards files to the Integrated Garnishment System (IGS).

The IGS assigns and distributes the garnishments to the military and DOD civilian Non Custodial Parents (NCPs).
