Is there anything I have to do to use DFAS Kids 1^st?

• Yes! Your state will need to sign a Trading Partner Agreement (TPA) with the Garnishment Operations Directorate Office of DOD.
• Program according to the DFAS Record Layout, DFAS Kids 1^st Batch Program Programmer's Guide.
• Provide your CSENet 2000 technical representative with data set names.

What is a Trading Partner Agreement?

• A formal agreement for exchanging data electronically with DFAS:
• defines duties and responsibilities of the trading partners participating in the program.
• establishes that the orders received by DFAS are valid and in compliance with all governing laws and also, establishes normal operating procedures.
