Tax Refund Offset collection report

TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed you will find a report containing collections and adjustments for the Federal Tax Refund Offset program pertaining to cases for the 1982 through 1983 processing years. The cases contained on this report are separate from those received on the monthly collection/adjustment report for your State. All of these cases have been processed manually due to special "problem" circumstance. For those States where the adjustments exceed the amount of the collections, a bill has been provided stating the amount that must be paid to the Fresno Service Center. For these processing years, the filing date has ended. Therefore, these should be the last cases received by our office except in a rare instance where there has been a processing holdup at IRS.
