Crossmatches with State Employment Security Agencies

DC-9205

January 27, 1992

TO SESA COMMISSIONERS

RE:Crossmatches with the State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs)

Dear Colleague:

As you know, during the past year the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) conducted crossmatches with the State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) to obtain wage and unemployment date for child support enforcement. We would like to express our gratitude to you and your staff for the cooperation and support given to this meaningful program. Our state and local support enforcement agencies are reporting a high rate of success using the SESA data.

We are pleased to inform you that we will conduct four crossmatches in 1992. Enclosed is a copy of the FPLS/SESA crossmatch schedule. We developed the FPLS/SESA crossmatch timetable to avoid any conflict with the regular Internet processing schedule.

The tape exchange process used last year served all parties very well. Therefore, the procedures for the tape exchange remain the same for 1992. If your staff experience any technical difficulties that prevent them from processing a tape, please contact Martin Marietta. They will gladly assist in resolving any data processing problems.

Locating absent parents and their employers, is a difficult job and we appreciate the assistance of all the SESAs participating in the FPLS/SESA crossmatches. Again, we would like to thank you for your cooperation and support. We look forward to continuing to work with your staff in the future. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Bienia, the FPLS coordinator, at 202-401-9267.

Also, if you have not submitted your bills for the 1991 crossmatches, we urge you to do so as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Allie Page Matthews

Deputy Director
