1992 Federal Tax Refund Offset certification tapes

TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed are two computer tapes pertinent to the 1992 Federal Tax Refund Offset Program. The first, the annual certification tape, contains all cases which have been certified at IRS. This tape contains all cases which have now been flagged at IRS for potential offset. We encourage States to process this tape promptly, since the first collection report will be issued in the beginning of March.

The second computer tape enclosed is the unaccountable tape which contains those cases which were rejected by IRS. These cases relate only to the January processing at IRS that has just occurred. For States which used the September 16th submittal date, these unaccountable cases are in addition to any unaccountable cases received previously from OCSE.
