RE: Non-AFDC Locate Only Requests

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed is the list of non-AFDC locate only requests which the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) processed for your State for the quarter ending September 30, 1992. This list is being sent in accordance with Action Transmittal OCSE-AT-82-17 dated November 12, 1982.

Section 453(e)(2) of the Social Security Act requires that States reimburse OCSE for the expense of providing FPLS non-AFDC locate only services. The fees are $4.00 for a Social Security Number (SSN) search and $10.00 for a search of Federal files for addresses. The fees should be reported on line 11 of the State's Financial Status Report (Form OCSE-131) for the appropriate quarters.

As you know, effective in FY 93 the fee for processing locate only cases will be $.70 per case as outlined in AT-92-04, dated August 12, 1992.

Any adjustment which you wish to make to this list should be accomplished through the ACF Regional Administrator.
