RE: Bill for Parental Kidnapping Requests

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed is the bill for parental kidnapping requests processed by the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) for FY 92.

According to 45 CFR Section 303.70(e)(1), States are required to pay fees to offset Federal costs of processing FPLS requests in connection with parental kidnapping and child custody cases. The fee schedule used for billing is Action Transmittal OCSE-AT-81-12. Please make your check or money order payable to the Office of Child Support Enforcement and forward it within 30 days to:

DHHS/ACF/OCSE

Attention: Deloris Thomas

It is important that you enclose a copy of the parental kidnapping bill with your payment to eliminate the posting of your payment to the wrong account. Please note that the Federal Identification Number you should use on your remittance is 1-52-139-6046-A-1.

As you know, beginning in FY 93, the charges for submitting parental kidnapping cases is $.70 per case as outlined in the enclosed Action Transmittal OCSE-AT-92-04, dated August 12, 1992.

If you have any questions regarding the bill, please contact Deloris Thomas at (202) 401-9267.

Sincerely yours,

Allie Page Matthews
