Tenth Collection Report for 1992

DC-9251

November 30, 1992

TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

RE: Tenth Collection Report for 1992

Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to forward to you the tenth collection report for the 1992 Federal Tax Refund Offset Program. Enclosed is the collection report representing the tax refund offsets for the month of November 1992 minus the service fee and any adjustments made during this period for the 1984 through 1992 processing years. The net collection total for November for 7,796 offsets is $4,027,564. The electronic funds transfer should be effected on December 7, 1992. Enclosed where appropriate is a copy of the November 1992 Collection/Adjustment/Address Report and the corresponding name change report.

The year-to-date net collections have increased from $521,497,166

in processing year 1991 to $640,370,306 in processing year 1992 or an increase of nearly 23%.

We would also like to inform you that the IRS service fee for ta Federal Tax Refund Offset Program will increase form the current collection report in February 1993. The increase in the fee can be attributed to an increase in the IRS cost to administer the program. Please inform the appropriate program people of this change.

If you have any questions pertaining to the tax offset program, please feel free to contact the Special Collections Unit at (202) 401-9389.

Sincerely,

Allie Page Matthews
