The Office of Child Support EnforcementGiving Hope and Support to America's Children

Third National Training Workshop

DC-9327

June 7, 1993

TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

RE: Third National Training Workshop

Dear Colleague:

We are pleased to announce that the Federal Office of Child

Support Enforcement (OCSE) will host its Third National Child

Support Enforcement Training Workshop September 27 - 29, 1993.

This intensive three-day Workshop, to be held at the Ramada Hotel

Old Town, Alexandria, VA is targeted both to training and legal

staff.

Please inform your training staff and child support enforcement attorneys about this important opportunity as soon as possible,

as registration is on a "first-come first-served" basis and space

is limited!

In separate small groups for trainers and attorneys, faculty from

OCSE, States, and the American Bar Association (ABA) Child

Support Project will explore with participants timely, major

issues such as the following:

oReview and Adjustment--reviews the Federal requirements, implementation issues, and experience of selected jurisdictions to date;

oInterstate Enforcement--examines interstate case processing issues, such as the completion of Interstate Forms, interstate wage withholding, and issues surrounding implementation of the new Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA); and

oChild Support Enforcement Initiatives--includes paternity establishment in the hospital, criminal nonsupport, and full collections.

Plenary sessions and round table discussions will provide ample occasion for interaction and cross-fertilization of ideas. This Workshop will help prepare your staff to confront the changing

demands of the Child Support Enforcement Program. Please join

us!

Please note that participants are responsible for their own

travel and hotel expenses, as well as a registration fee of

$90.00 per person. Registration forms and hotel brochures are enclosed for you to review and pass on to appropriate staff.
