TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

RE: Issuance of Pre-Offset Notices

Dear Colleague:

The enclosed report represents cases that were submitted by your state for the issuance of pre-offset notices but for which a mailing address could not be determined. Therefore these are being returned to you as "no match" cases. The unmatched cases have been classified in one of the following three categories:

SSN NOT ON FILE, NAME DOES NOT AGREE, OR INVALID COMBINATION OF NAME AND SSN. We encourage you to use this report to identify cases which require additional research prior to submittal next year.

I hope this information may be of use to you in improving your case submittals for next year and encourage you to share this information with your local child support offices. Please refer to exhibit K in Action Transmittal 92-3 when processing this information and/or contact the Special Collections Unit at (202) 401-9389 should you need additional information.
