TO STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed is a quarterly invoice for the period July 1, 1993 through September 30, 1993 for non-AFDC IV-D, locate only and parental kidnapping/child custody cases processed by the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS). In accordance with Action Transmittal (OCSE-AT-93-01), dated January 26, 1993, the FPLS will calculate the quarterly cost for services requested by each State and advise each State of the appropriate cost for the quarter via the quarterly invoice. In my letter of August 24, 1993 notifying you of the updated reporting procedures, this is to remind you that:

o All States are to promptly report FPLS charges as an offset against their Federal quarterly payment on

line 11, of the Financial Form (OCSE Form 131).

oOCSE is no longer accepting checks for processing cases.

oThe FPLS fee for FY 1994 is $.50.

Additionally, it is important that States report all charges timely and accurately. FPLS charges are not being reported by all States.
