FPLS crossmatch with State Employment Security Agencies

January 25, 1995

DC95-08

TO: ALL STATE EMPLOYMENT SECURITY AGENCY COMMISSIONERS

Dear Colleague:

As you know, during the past years the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) has conducted monthly crossmatches with the State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) to obtain wage and unemployment data for child support enforcement agencies. Again we would like to express our gratitude to you and your staff for the continued cooperation and support given to this meaningful program. The information obtained from these matches has proven to be the best source in locating noncustodial parents in interstate cases; and the State and local child support agencies have been extremely pleased with the information and the expansion of the number of crossmatches.

The tape exchange process used last year served all parties very well. Therefore, the procedures for the tape exchange will remain the same for 1995. Enclosed is a copy of the FPLS/SESA crossmatch schedule.

If you or your staff should have any questions regarding the processing of tapes, please contact Joan O'Connor on

(202) 401-9268. Also, to expedite the payment process and assure that you receive prompt reimbursement, please submit your invoices to the FPLS office. If you have any questions regarding billing, please call the FPLS staff on (202) 401-9267.

Sincerely,

David Gray Ross

Deputy Director

Office of Child Support Enforcement
