TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed please find the Edit/Validation Report for those cases submitted by your State for the Federal Tax Refund Offset Program for processing year 1996. This report is produced as a result of your State's certified tape being run through OCSE's edit processing program. The report provides individual error messages and summary statistics. See exhibit H in Action Transmittal 94-05 dated August 23, 1994 for the tape specifications to be used when running this tape. These cases will not be submitted to IRS but the reason for the rejection should be researched, corrected, and resubmitted with processing year 1997's submittals.
