Seventh National Child Support Enforcement Conference
July 1, 1997 DCL-97-36
TO ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS
RE: OCSE's Seventh National Child Support Enforcement Conference
Dear Colleague:
As you may know, the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement's (OCSE) Seventh National Child Support Enforcement Conference will be held September 15-17, 1997, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel at Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia.
The theme for this year's conference is: Child Support's New Era:
Strengthening Agencies to Strengthen Families (Changing CSE Through Partnerships, Collaboration, and Technology). Our conference was designed for State and Federal IV-D professionals, with an emphasis on welfare reform changes, leadership training for CSE administrators, training for trainers and CSE attorneys, while continuing our focus on cross-program collaboration with our new and existing partners.
Enclosed is a tentative agenda and Participant Registration Form. Please inform the appropriate staff about the opportunity as soon as possible. The registration deadline is August 15, 1997. I am happy to announce that this year, there will be no registration fee.
On the enclosed agenda, we have identified the general focus of each workshop with the following markers: <PROGRAM> <TRAINING>
<MANAGEMENT> <TECHNOLOGY>
You are not required to attend specific workshops. These indicators were designed to give you an idea of the subjects covered. The conference notebook will have detailed descriptions for you.
You will also find enclosed housing information and a Housing Reservation Form. Hotel rooms are available for $124 per night (single or double). Participants should reserve a room as soon as possible. The hotel guarantees this rate and room availability through August 15, 1997. For your convenience, you may extend your stay at the conference rate if rooms are available. Please contact the hotel directly to make your arrangements.
The hotel is located just 15 minutes from Washington's National Airport. Complimentary shuttle service is available to and from the airport, the Pentagonand Pentagon City Mall or Metro for all guests and conference attendees. Call the hotel at (703) 845-1010 with your arrival information and they will tell you where to meet the shuttle.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the following: (Contact Information Deleted 2/15/2007 - No Longer Current)
