RE: OCSE's Centralized Collections and Disbursement Conference

Dear Colleague:

The Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) is sponsoring a centralized collections and disbursement conference to be held at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta, Georgia. The purpose of this conference is to provide information helpful to program and system managers in child support to evaluate and implement options for design, development and operation of a centralized collections and disbursement unit. Clerks of courts are also welcome to attend. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 3, 1997 and conclude at 2:30 pm, Friday, December 5, 1997.

Participants will spend two and a half days in informal classroom presentations to learn about issues and approaches related solely to centralized collections and disbursement. Presentations and discussions will include policy, interstate processing, automation, privatization, remittance processing, and customer service (see draft agenda). The conference will be held at the Westin at 210 Peachtree St., in Atlanta, Georgia 30303. It is located within walking distance of many city landmarks and attractions including Centennial Olympic Park, Turner Stadium and Georgia Dome. Rooms are being held at the Westin for $96 per night (including tax) for the DHHS Centralized Collections and Disbursement Conference.
