Quarterly Wage and Unemployment Insurance Sections of NDNH

Oct 29 1997 DC-97-71

TO ALL QUARTERLY WAGE (QW) AND UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE (UI) DATA PROVIDERS

RE: QW and UI Sections of the National Directory of New Hires (NDNH) Guide for Data Submission

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed please find the Quarterly Wage (QW) and Unemployment Insurance (UI) Sections of the National Directory of New Hires (NDNH) Guide for Data Submission.

Each State and Federal Agency is responsible for submitting quarterly wage records and, if applicable, unemployment insurance claims data to the NDNH. The proposed reporting deadlines for the submittal of quarterly wage records and unemployment insurance claims data, as published in the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, are as follows:

By 1/31/98, States are to submit quarterly wage data to the NDNH for the 3rd quarter of 1997 (July - September 1997) and unemployment insurance data to NDNH for the 4th quarter of 1997 (October - December 1997).

By 1/31/98, Federal Agencies are to submit quarterly wage data to the NDNH for the 4th quarter of 1997 (October -December 1997).

If you did not receive the first edition of the National Directory of New Hires (NDNH) Guide for Data Submission or have any comments or questions regarding the information in this guide or would like to order additional copies, please call the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) Information Line at (202) 401-9267.

The cooperation of the States and Federal Agencies involved in the submittal of QW and UI data, as well as the cooperation of the State IV-D agencies, is greatly appreciated as we strive towards our goal of improving the lives of our nation’s children.

Sincerely,

David Gray Ross
