RE: National Electronic Child Support Resource System Brochure

Dear Colleague:

I am pleased to provide you with OCSE's new brochure on the National Electronic Child Support Resource System (NECSRS) which is one component of OCSE's Internet communications framework. NECSRS facilitates quick access and dissemination of child support enforcement resource materials via the OCSE Web site (www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/) with Internet links to existing Federal, State, local, and Tribal Web sites.

OCSE is in the process of obtaining materials and information from all States for inclusion in NECSRS, along with Federal policy documents, reports, announcements, etc. Already, about fifteen States are sharing their resources via NECSRS. The enclosed brochure lists the subject areas and resource types by which documents are cataloged, and includes categories such as: locate, establishment of orders, enforcement, best practices, policy (e.g., ATs, IMs, DCLs), and training.

We hope that you and your staff will take advantage of this innovative tool to:

Access Federal policy guidance and reports;
Access Federal and State legislation;
Access and share State/Tribal/local best practices;
Use materials available from other States/Tribes to assist you in the development or implementation of new procedures or practices;
Access outreach materials or training materials/curricula.

Through NECSRS on-line "feedback" capability, we will monitor suggestions for improvements in order to ensure NECSRS continues to address the needs of child support enforcement professionals.

We are also sending a brochure to your training liaison specialist to familiarize your staff with NECSRS and its resources. If your State would like additional copies of the brochure to provide to staff, please contact your Regional Office.
