Dear Colleague:

Last month we mailed to you drafts of three new products: The ABCs of Child Support Employer Overview; a brochure, Employers and Child Support: New Hire Reporting and Income Withholding; and the New Hire Reporting matrix. We appreciate the comments that we received regarding all three publications.

Based on your comments, we revised and updated each of these publications. Copies of the revised matrix and brochure are enclosed. The brochure also is being included in the Internal Revenue Service's current quarterly mailing to more than 6 million employers. We have printed additional copies of this brochure and will make them available to you upon request. (Please see the enclosed order form.) You also may request a diskette of the brochure so that you can add State-specific information and print as many copies as you need.

The ABCs of Child Support Employer Overview also has been revised and is now in the process of being printed. We will mail that product to you in the very near future.
