RE: Federal Case Registry (FCR) Interface Guidance Document Second Update

Dear Colleague:

Enclosed you will find the second update to the FCR Interface Guidance Document (IGD). This update provides additional information essential for the technical design and development of State systems in order to interface with the FCR.

Included in this update are new sections to be added to the IGD and revisions to previously released sections. Please refer to the enclosed summary of changes which outlines the content of this update. The summary also provides instructions for making the necessary removals from and insertions to the previous IGD.

A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) addresses what is required of States in developing Statewide automated child support systems in order to meet the automated system requirements enacted in the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA). The enclosed portions of the IGD are to be considered drafts, pending the publication of a final regulation on this subject.
