Conference Call on the Federal Offset Program

RE : Conference Call on the Federal Offset Program

Dear Colleague:

The recently distributed Action Transmittal, AT-9817 dated July 6, 1998, for the upcoming 1999 Processing Year contains significant changes in the Federal Offset Program. This AT-9817 includes information on the Federal tax refund offset program, administrative offset program, passport denial process, and financial institution matching.

To ensure a smooth transition and because of the changes in the program and record specifications, OCSE is hosting three conference calls to answer any questions and resolve any outstanding issues. The conference calls are scheduled for Monday, July 20 at 1:00 EST and Tuesday, July 21 at 10:00 EST and 1:00 EST. A maximum of 20 lines per call is available and states may reserve a line on a first come, first serve basis. Please call OCSE's Special Collections Unit at (202) 401-9389 to reserve your line for the conference call. Following are the telephone and I.D. numbers to use to access the call:
