RE: Federal Case Registry (FCR) Implementation Plan Template
Dear Colleague:
Attached to this letter is an implementation plan template for the Federal Case Registry (FCR) to State Case Registry (SCR) interface. The FCR Technical Assistance (TA) team prepared this template for the States to use as a checklist to ensure that the various areas that need to be addressed in establishing the FCR/SCR interface are examined by each State. The attached template does not represent an all-inclusive plan, nor is it a mandatory document to be responded to by a State. It is a suggestion as to how a State could go about constructing a detailed implementation plan for the FCR/SCR interface.
We recognize that many of the States are well beyond the need for an implementation checklist; so the attached document may serve only as a means to double check what a State has already accomplished. However, the TA team has received indications from many States during the Technical Assistance Guide (TAG) conference calls that suggestions would be appreciated as to what activities should be occurring at the State level.
The attached document is formatted so that major milestones are identified as section headings (e.g., 1.0), with intermediate milestones identified as subsections (e.g., 1.1) and questions that need to be answered in meeting an intermediate milestone are posed under each subsection (e.g., 1.1.1).
If you would like a soft copy in Microsoft Excel or if you have any questions concerning this document, please contact Christine Jennings at (703) 352-3855, or by e-mail at christine.jennings@trw.com. Your State TA liaison contact will be following up on any questions or issues you may have.
Thank you for your continuing efforts to implement your SCR and interface with the FCR. Your support is greatly appreciated as we work together to improve the lives of our nation's children.
Sincerely,
David Gray Ross Commissioner Office of Child Support EnforcementEnclosure
