RE: TEMPO on Statistical Sampling for Self-Assessment
Dear Colleague:
Attached is a Techniques for Effective Management of Program Operations (TEMPO) monograph on statistical sampling for self-assessment. The success of a self-assessment review depends to a great degree on the extent to which the sampling methodology used has been thought through by the self-assessment evaluator. This TEMPO will help your self-assessment staff determine what child support cases should make up the population from which the sample should be selected. In addition, the TEMPO covers many of the important concepts of the self-assessment review including sampling frame, sampling element, and determining the type of sampling methodology to use.
For additional information regarding statistical sampling for self-assessment, please contact Mike Hansen, Office of Audit, at 202-401-5740 or mhansen@acf.hhs.gov.
Sincerely,
Sherri Z. Heller, Ed.D.
Commissioner
Office of Child Support Enforcement
