DEAR COLLEAGUE LETTER

DCL-05-04

ATTACHMENT:  NDNH GUIDE FOR DATA SUBMISSION - VERSION 9 – DECEMBER 2004

DATE: January 27, 2005

TO:  ALL NEW HIRE, QUARTERLY WAGE AND UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE CLAIM DATA PROVIDERS

RE:  Update to the National Directory of New Hires Guide for Data Submission

Dear Colleague:

This letter announces the posting on the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) website of Version 9 of the National Directory of New Hires (NDNH) Guide for Data Submission. This version contains updated information for submitting data to the NDNH. The Guide is posted at:  http://www.acf.hhs.gov/programs/cse/newhire/library/ndnh/ndnh.htm.

Version 9 replaces the previous version of the Guide, which was published on December 3, 2003. To better understand the parts of the Guide that have changed, a chart is attached to this letter that lists the substantive changes and the sections in the Guide where each change is discussed. Additional minor changes to style and format were also made to improve the readability of the Guide.

If you have any comments or questions regarding the information in this Guide, or if you would like to order a copy, please call the Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) Information Line at (202) 401-9267.

The cooperation of the State Directories of New Hires, State Workforce Agencies and other state and Federal agencies that are involved in the submittal of NDNH data, as well as the cooperation of the state Child Support Enforcement agencies, is greatly appreciated as we strive towards our goal of improving the lives of our nation’s children.

Sincerely,

David H. Siegel
Acting Commissioner
Office of Child Support Enforcement
