DEAR COLLEAGUE LETTER
DCL-05-20
DATE: July 19, 2005
TO: ALL STATE AND TRIBAL IV-D DIRECTORS
RE: OCSE 15th National Child Support Enforcement Training Conference and 30th Anniversary Celebration
Dear Colleagues:
I would like to invite all of you to the Federal OCSE’s 15th National Child Support Enforcement Training Conference and 30th Anniversary Celebration, October 24-26, 2005, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, VA.
The theme for this year’s conference, Child Support Enforcement – 30 Years and Counting!, reflects the Child Support Enforcement program’s 30-year commitment to improving the lives of America’s families. The program’s original goal—financial support for families—remains its basis today. As we look to the future, we know that working effectively with our partners is vital to improving services to those families, and key to better overall family outcomes. We look forward to applying the strategies in our roadmap for the next five years—the national child support enforcement strategic plan for 2005-2009.
Tentative Agenda
This conference is designed for all State, local, tribal, and Federal IV-D professionals. As the attached tentative agenda indicates, the conference will offer a wide variety of workshops on many subjects important to the child support enforcement community. Dress is business casual throughout the conference.
State Child Access and Visitation Program Coordinators Meeting
OCSE’s State Child Access and Visitation (AV) Program Coordinators Meeting will be held in conjunction with the CSE conference. On Monday, October 24, and Wednesday, October 26, the CSE conference will feature AV program workshops open to all conference participants.
The State AV Coordinators Meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, October 24, and conclude at noon on Wednesday, October 26. Attendance at the AV meeting is by invitation only. OCSE will send State AV Coordinators separate invitations. For more information, contact Debra Pontisso at 202- 401-4548 or dpontisso@acf.hhs.gov.
