ATTACHMENT:  ANNUAL CERTIFICATION LETTER

TO:  ALL STATE IV-D DIRECTORS

RE:  Expanded Federal Parent Locator Service Safeguarding Certification

Dear Colleague:

The Federal Parent Locator Service (FPLS) annually requires all States to submit certifications of compliance with safeguard and security requirements relating to locate information received from the FPLS.

Please complete the certification form and return it to the FPLS as soon as possible. This will cover the period of October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007.

Enclosed please find an example of the annual certification form required for all States and local jurisdictions with access. All forms should be on state letterhead with the signature of the State IV-D Director or designee.

Please fax a copy to Dionne Williams at (202) 401-5647 by November 13, 2006, and mail the original for our records to the following address:
