RE: Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2001-15

Dear Coordinators:

Enclosed is the Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2001-15. This report represents Federal tax refund and/or administrative offsets, less the current fees of $10.20 per Federal tax offset and $11.75 per administrative offset, and any adjustments/reversals made during this period for the 1994 through 2000 processing years.

The net collections total for OCSE cycle 2001-15 as of August 20, 2001, based on 165,455 offsets, is $63,300,090. We are pleased to report that this collection cycle brings the 2001 year-to-date total for 1,624,116 offsets to $1,406,415,743. Due in part to the tax rebate offsets, this marks another record-breaking year for the Federal Offset Program. To date, OCSE has offset over $155,000,000 from the tax rebates. According to the Department of Treasury, we are about halfway through the issuance of the tax rebates. OCSE will continue to keep you informed of our collections.

The transfer of funds through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) is scheduled for August 30th.
