Dear Coordinators: Enclosed is the Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2005-01A. This report represents Federal Tax Refund and/or administrative offsets, less the current fees of $12.65 per Federal Tax Offset and $15.00 per administrative offset, and any adjustments/reversals made during this collection cycle for the 1998 through 2005 processing years. Based on 2,682 offsets, the net collections total for OCSE Cycle 2005-01A as of January 21, 2005, is $2,065,314. The year-to-date total for 2,682 offsets is $2,065,314. This compares to 4,781 offsets for $4,361,312 during the same collection cycle last year. The decrease in the comparison is due to the number of days that fall into the FMS collection calendar for cycle 01A. In other words, last year there were more days in cycle 01A than there were this year. We expect that collections will even out in the weeks ahead. An electronic version of this report, along with additional detailed reports for your state, has been sent to your state via CONNECT:Direct (C:D). The funds were transferred through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) on February 3, 2005.
