RE: Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2007-25

Dear Coordinators:

Enclosed is the Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2007-25. This report represents Federal Tax Refund and/or administrative offsets, less the current fees of $14.65 per Federal Tax Offset and $17.00 per administrative offset, and any adjustments/reversals made during this collection cycle for the 2000 through 2007 processing years.

Based on 5,428 offsets, the net collections total for OCSE Cycle 2007-25 as of January 4, 2008 is $5,884,624. The year-end total for 1,464,412 offsets is $1,692,858,631, compared to 1,398,699 offsets for $1,600,239,060 for last year. This year’s total is the highest amount ever collected through the Federal Offset Program, surpassing the previous annual record set in 2001 by more than $40 million.

An electronic version of this report, along with additional detailed reports for your State, have been sent to you via CONNECT:Direct (C:D).

The funds will be transferred through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) on January 17, 2008. Beginning with the first cycle in 2008, this letter and the attached Net Check Amount Report for States will be emailed to States via Federal Offset E-Flash. The Federal Offset Collections Report will continue to be mailed in hard copy to State IV-D Directors.
