graphic- Processing Interstate Cases
This course was developed as a TOT course to train trainers to help caseworkers accurately identify the first steps necessary to process an interstate case. They will also be able to train the basic terms and laws used in interstate cases. They will be able to assist the caseworker in identifying when it is appropriate to use long -arm jurisdiction and when it is necessary to file a two-state proceeding under UIFSA. They will learn how to train others to accurately identify which order is controlling and when States have continuing exclusive jurisdiction by applying the rules found in UIFSA.
