Access & Visitation
Each year, about $10 million is appropriated for the Access and Visitation (AV) mandatory grant program. The AV grant program supports services that help noncustodial parents spend time with their children. Services supported by the grant must target the noncustodial parent and support the intended program outcome defined by statute.
Some examples of activities and services permitted with AV grant funds include:
- Mediation
- Developing parent plans
- Counseling
- Parent education
- Neutral drop-off/pick-up
- Supervised visitation
- Visitation enforcement
