Chirp - Census poverty rates in 2012

Census statistics show that the poverty rate in 2012 for whites (non-Hispanic) was 9.7%; for Asians it was 11.7%; for Hispanics (any race) 25.6%; for blacks 27.2%; and for single-race American Indians and Alaska Natives 29.1%—the highest of any race group.  Poverty data can guide child support professionals to improve services to families.  See more Census facts in honor of African American History Month.
