Chirp - EITC time

EITC Awareness Day is Jan. 25.  The child support program is again promoting the IRS Earned Income Tax Credit to low- and middle-income working parents.  Custodial parents particularly can benefit from EITC, one of the largest antipoverty programs.  Noncustodial parents also may be eligible for a small benefit.  Last year, 26.5 million people received $60.7 billion.  Four of five eligible people claim it.
