Chirp - Helping veterans find employment

The unemployment rate improved in the past year for younger veterans who have served in the U.S. military since September 2001, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  However, this September’s unemployment rate for veterans (9.7%) is still well above the rate for nonveterans (7.4%).  Child support agencies can refer veterans in their caseload to employment resources at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Labor.
