The Project to Avoid Increasing Delinquencies Fact Sheet Series shares research and innovations in the core child support functions of locating parents, establishing paternity and child support orders, and collecting support in order to promote stable child support payments throughout childhood.

Most federal prisoners are parents. To become a reliable source of support for their children when they leave prison, these parents need child support orders that reflect actual income while they are incarcerated and when they return home.

This PAID fact sheet highlights child support collaborations that provide outreach and assistance to parents incarcerated in federal facilities so that they can meet their obligations to their children.
