RE: Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2006-25
Enclosed is the Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2006-25. This report represents Federal Tax Refund and/or administrative offsets, less the current fees of $13.65 per Federal Tax Offset and $17.00 per administrative offset, and any adjustments/reversals made during this collection cycle for the 1999 through 2006 processing years.
Based on 4,983 offsets, the net collections total for OCSE Cycle 2006-25 as of January 5, 2007 is $5,061,579. The year-to-date total for 1,398,699 offsets is $1,600,239,060. This compares to 1,425,382 offsets for $1,584,234,102 during the same collection cycle last year.
NOTE: This is the last collection report for 2006. Total collections of $1,600,239,060 represent a record breaking year, as this is the first time the Federal Offset program collected more than $1.6 billion (without tax credit or rebate offsets included). 34 states collected more in 2006 than in 2005, and 21 states collected an all-time program high. Congratulations on your success.
