RE: Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2009-01B
Enclosed is the Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2009-01B. This report represents Federal Tax Refund and/or administrative offsets, less the current fees of $14.65 per Federal Tax Offset and $17.00 per administrative offset, and any adjustments/reversals made during this collection cycle for the 2002 through 2009 processing years.
Based on 48,852 offsets, the net collections total for OCSE Cycle 2009-01B as of February 6, 2009 is $72,736,650. The year-to-date total for 53,880 offsets is $76,911,772. This compares to 35,798 offsets for $52,283,870 through the same collection cycle last year.
OCSE Cycle 2008-25 marked the end of offsets attributable to the 2008 IRS economic stimulus payments (ESP), which began in Cycle 2008-08. Treasury has confirmed that all ESP collections were received as of Cycle 2008-25. Attached is the final Federal Offset Collections from Economic Stimulus Payments report, reflecting the cumulative totals in collections from the 2008 ESP offsets.
