RE: Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2009-08

Dear Coordinators:

Enclosed is the Federal Offset Collections Report for OCSE Cycle 2009-08. This report represents Federal Tax Refund and/or administrative offsets, less the current fees of $14.65 per Federal Tax Offset and $17.00 per administrative offset, and any adjustments/reversals made during this collection cycle for the 2002 through 2009 processing years.

Based on 345,035 offsets, the net collections total for OCSE Cycle 2009-08 as of May 15, 2009 is $226,067,884. The year-to-date total for 1,426,272 offsets is $1,702,814,738. This compares to 1,350,352 offsets for $1,650,507,612 through the same collection cycle last year.

An electronic version of this report, along with additional detailed reports for your State, has been sent to your State via CONNECT:Direct (C:D).

Please Note: Beginning OCSE Cycle 2009-08, an additional report, Federal Offset Collections from Economic Recovery Payments, will be sent along with the attached Federal Offset Collections Report to provide a State summary of offsets and collection totals as a result of the economic recovery payments. The report will continue to be provided with future OCSE offset collection reports as long as Treasury makes this information available.

The funds will be transferred through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) on May 28, 2009. If you have any questions regarding the transfer of collections to your State's account, please contact Elvis Davis or Cathy Lin at the Program Support Center. They can be reached at (301) 443-9560 or (301) 443-3309 respectively.

If you have any questions concerning your State’s collection reports, please contact Federal Collections and Enforcement at (202) 401-9389, ext. 4, or via e-mail at scollections@acf.hhs.gov.

Sincerely,

Donna J. Bonar
