The Insurance Match (IM) Workgroup is comprised of representatives from the insurance industry, State Child Support Enforcement (CSE) Agencies and the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE). The minutes summarize decisions and discussions from this meeting held on March 20, 2007 including:

  • Provide an update on the progress of selecting an implementation alternative for the insurance match
  • Identify duplicate matches and updates to previously provided matches for data retention
  • Act on the suggestion to send unfiltered matched claims data (duplicates included) to states for determination whether it is a duplicate record of a change to a previously provided record
  • Define an “exact duplicate”
  • Identify which addresses would be scrubbed by OCSE
  • Identify the minimum amount of information state need to act on an insurance match
  • Consider states’ request for OCSE to provide a SSN verification indicator on the Insurance Match Record to identify verified SSNs
  • Reach consensus on the initial Insurance Match Record and updates to previously provided match records
